Do You Have A Library Card??

library card

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month!!  Yes, you get a “library card” here at Central Penn Library by using your college ID, but having a public library card can also allow you many other resources and materials to check out.  It’s very simple to get one and it’s FREE!

Even if you don’t live in Cumberland County, you attend school here and can get a library card for the 8 library locations in the county.  There is even one VERY close, right in Enola, just a short walk.

These public libraries offer many materials such as novels, nonfiction books, biographies, large print, local archives, DVDs and games.  Many offer other free programs such as computer workshops, writing workshops, book readings and children’s programs.

By using your Cumberland County Library card, you can also access many online databases (some similar to Central Penn and some different) and other online resources.  You can reserve books from across the county and have them shipped right to the Enola branch for easy pick up.  You can even check out books from your eReader without even leaving your home.

Stop in to your local library, in ANY county across the state, and sign-up for your FREE public library card!  I have mine!
